LEXINGTON, Ky. — The 20th-ranked Kentucky basketball team defeated unranked Texas A&M 74-73 Tuesday at Rupp Arena.
Hamidou Diallo scored 18 points and PJ Washington and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander each added 16 to lead the Wildcats (13-3, 3-1 Southeastern Conference), who were short-handed with starting point guard Quade Green and reserve forward Tai Wynyard sidelined due to back injuries.
Kevin Knox, who tallied 15 points by hitting all five of his shots from the field, finished a fast-break layup with 2:20 to play to push Kentucky ahead for good after the Wildcats trailed for nearly the entire second half.
