Prior to the Kentucky Wildcats’ exhibition clash with Kentucky Wesleyan, we got updates on several players battling injuries.
Junior guard CJ Fredrick and junior forward Jacob Toppin were held out for the game. Fredrick continues to recover from offseason leg surgery, while Toppin is recovering from a shoulder injury suffered in offseason workouts.
In addition, head coach John Calipari revealed during the pregame radio show that junior center Oscar Tshiebwe is a little banged up and would likely play just one half vs. the Panthers. Tshiebwe was announced as a starter, so it doesn’t appear to be anything significant.
