Thankfully, J.J. Weaver‘s injury is not as bad as originally feared. Today, Mark Stoops said Weaver is “week to week” with the arm injury suffered vs. Youngstown State. He will not play this week vs. Northern Illinois.
Weaver landed awkwardly on his left arm on third down of Youngstown State’s first drive, causing his elbow to bend inward. He did not return and was spotted in the tunnel with his arm in a sling and a brace on his elbow. The junior outside linebacker has a team-high tying 15 tackles and one sack this season.
