Miller will hire Bruiser Flint as an assistant coach, Jon Rothstein reported earlier today. Flint was John Calipari’s right-hand man at UMass for seven seasons. Flint succeeded Calipari at UMass, where he remained for five years. Flint’s best years were at Drexel, winning Colonial Athletic Association coach of the year four times in 15 seasons.
Calipari is extremely close to Flint. A big reason why Ca; started speaking out against the grad transfer rule is because of their relationship. Last year Flint had a chance to go to the NCAA Tournament with Damion Lee, until Lee opted to transfer to Louisville for his final season.
