One of the best in the Bluegrass is here to stay. Dekel Crowdus announced Sunday evening that he will be a Kentucky Wildcat.
Recruited by Vince Marrow, Kentucky beat out nine other finalists: Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Ohio State, Michigan, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
Crowdus is considered one of the 50 best wide receivers in America. He spent his junior season playing at IMG Academy in Florida. This spring he opted to return to Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington to complete his prep career. The four-star prospect is the No. 2 player in the state, trailing only his teammate, offensive guard Jager Burton.
