In the time following Kentucky’s 28-13 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday, the coaching staff and players have been outspoken about the team’s handful of missed opportunities that ruined any chance of a comeback victory in Starkville.
In short, a crushing pick-six on the team’s opening drive, three dropped touchdown passes, and two missed field goals was just too much to overcome against a talented Mississippi State roster.
On Monday evening, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops said the head-scratching mistakes were even more difficult to see during his film review on Sunday.
“It was really amazing to see all the plays we didn’t make and still have an opportunity,” he said.
