Ashton Hagans was great in Kentucky’s win over UAB. The Cats’ sophomore point guard set a new career-high in assists with 12 to raise his per-game average to almost seven. He also saw a three-pointer go in for the second straight game, in addition to his usual contributions on the defensive end.
If there is a better point guard in the country, John Calipari wants to meet him.
After the game, Calipari said, “We could say there are better point guards in the country, but you got to tell me who you’re talking about. Because when you defend the way he defends and you’re as tough as he is, he went 12 assists, two turnovers.
