Tre Mitchell got hot at the right time in Kentucky‘s overtime win over St. Joe’s on Monday. The 23-year-old stretch-forward was already having a good night with 13 points in regulation, including the putback dunk to take the lead with 29 seconds left to go in the game.
But Mitchell really turned things up a notch in bonus time when he helped the Wildcats pull away to win by eight points. He hit back-to-back 3-pointers for Kentucky’s first points in overtime, then hit three free throws to help secure the victory.
