The Mark Stoops era of Kentucky football has been fun. Nobody can doubt that, especially when you compare this run to the not-so-good ole days of UK football.
Since Mark Stoops arrived in 2013, many records have been set. At the conclusion of the 2019 season Stoops has a 44-44 record at Kentucky. The last UK coach to finish his career with a record over .500 was Blanton Collier, Bear Bryant’s successor that went 41-36-3 from 1954-61.
If you need further proof that Stoops is unequivocally the most successful UK head coach in the modern era, friend of KSR, Tim Uhl, created this line graph that illustrates highs and lows from each coach.
