LEXINGTON, Ky. — When Chris Rodriguez received his 26th handoff of the night Saturday, he was 11 yards away from the end zone. Four yards later, he met his first sign of resistance. One Mississippi State defender latched on. Then two. On the precipice of the goal line, three Bulldogs had at least one hand on him.
Rodriguez never stopped moving his legs. Nor his arms.
He reached the ball to the goal line for one of the most hard-fought touchdowns — it was officially designated as a 7-yard score — an observer will see.
