It does not take long to realize Immanuel Quickley is a vocal leader. A chatterbox off and on the court, Kentucky’s next point guard is using his mouth at this week’s McDonald’s All-American Game to convince E.J. Montgomery to come to Kentucky.
One of the highest-ranked uncommitted recruits in the country, the athletic 6’10” forward has three leaders — Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky. Kentucky is out-numbered 4-2 by Duke commits this week, but Quickley is willing to take extreme measures to get his McDonald’s All-American teammate to Kentucky.
“The game was almost over, Duke was definitely going to lose (to Kansas),” Quickley recalled a conversation from the night before.
