On the radar early
Karl Towns first popped up on our radar nearly four years ago as an eighth-grader. Karl–then known as Karl Towns, Jr.–was already playing on the U17 Dominican Republic team for Orlando Antigua’s twin brother, which meant he inevitably crossed paths with John Calipari, who began coaching the DR National team in the summer of 2011.
