As is often the case with injuries, Kentucky wasn’t super specific about what happened to the knee of left tackle Landon Young, who went down Friday during a non-contract drill.
A UK spokesman confirmed that the surgery repaired lateral meniscus in his left knee, not a torn ligament of any kind for the former Lafayette standout.
The surgery was performed early this week and was a success, offensive line coach John Schlarman confirmed Tuesday afternoon, adding that Young has “handled it first class and I know he’s going to get back to full strength in no time at all.
