The morning after the NCAA Tournament bracket went public, the NCAA revealed the playing surface for the Final Four at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas:
“The space elements around the edges of the court create the illusion that the court is floating in space,”
the announcement read. “The contrast of the dark and bright colors gives a nebulous feel and complements the center court logo. The center court element is the 2023 Men’s Final Four logo.
“The containing shape and elements of the logo are inspired by the mission patches given to astronauts and people affiliated with certain space missions.
