Here's the bracket the College Football Playoff should be using

Scott Satterfield remarked soon after arriving in Louisville on Tuesday that he aspired to compete for a national championship, and that was a reason he needed to leave his alma mater, Appalachian State, for a coaching job in a Power Five conference.

And he’s right about that.

For all there is to adore about college football, its biggest flaw is that all its schools do not have an opportunity to compete for the top prize.

The NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision is the only organized sports league anywhere that opens each season with teams having no shot – through no fault of their own -- to win its top championship.
