Here's how colleges are preparing themselves ahead of a massive NCAA investigation

The memo read like a warning shot, a compliance call to arms.

Two weeks after the FBI unsealed criminal complaints and arrested 10 men in its investigation into corruption in college basketball, the message sent by the NCAA's chief legal officer said the organization's board of directors agreed all Division I institutions had to examine their men's basketball programs for possible NCAA rules violations.

"Those eligibility reviews should be completed immediately," wrote Donald Remy, a former federal attorney who is the NCAA's executive vice president of law, policy and governance.
