One of the top high school prospects and potential top pick in the 2017 NBA draft just committed to Duke.
Giles, a 6-10 power forward out of Oak Hill Academy, made his announcement live on ESPN's SportsCenter on Friday at noon. ESPN's No. 1 prospect in 2016 picked Duke over the Kentucky Wildcats, Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Kansas Jayhawks, though the Blue Devils and Coach K were viewed as the favorites for most of his recruitment.
That didn't stop Kentucky and head coach John Calipari from making a strong push in recent months to try and get Giles out of North Carolina, where he's originally from.
