After 20 minutes of play, Kentucky leads Louisville 41-27. The Cats needed to show intensity and hustle after last week’s lackluster showing in New Orleans, and they did. Kentucky held Louisville to 29.7% shooting while shooting 40.6%.
Kevin Knox and Sacha Killeya-Jones found themselves in foul trouble early, but Hamidou Diallo and PJ Washington stepped up in their absence, putting up 11 and 10 points respectively. Foul trouble is an issue thanks to some horrible officiating. Knox, SKJ, Quade Green, and Wenyen Gabriel all have two fouls, as do six Louisville players (Lance Thomas has three fouls).
