Hal Mumme and the Air Raid are taking flight again. This morning, The Spring League, a pro developmental league, announced that Mumme will be the head coach of the Linemen, a new expansion squad.
Google tells me The Spring League (TSL) has been around for four years and brands itself was “the premier professional football development league in the United States and abroad,” touting players who have spent time on an NFL active, practice, or pre-season roster. There are eight teams, with the North Division headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana (games at Lucas Oil Stadium) and the South Division operating out of Houston, Texas (games at Rice Stadium).
