Gus Malzahn, once an SEC Champion and SEC Coach of the Year at Auburn, wasn’t unemployed for long as he is set to become the head coach of the UCF Knights. Malzahn was relieved of his duties at Auburn following the 2020 regular season after eight years on the job with the Tigers. Now he is finalizing a deal to take over the position left open by Josh Heupel in Orlando.
Heupel is the new head coach at Tennessee, where he was hired by UCF’s former athletic director, Danny White, who is now the athletic director at Tennessee.
