To no surprise, Kentucky’s second-string quarterback Gunnar Hoak announced this morning via Twitter he would be putting his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
The quarterback will be graduating from Kentucky next week, giving him the ability to play right away whenever he chooses to transfer.
But according to head coach Mark Stoops, who commented on Hoak’s decision, it’s no slam dunk the quarterback departs.
“Gunnar and I had a great talk yesterday. He’s a great kid and as I told him, he really had a good spring,” said Stoops of his backup signal-caller.
