LEXINGTON – Vanderbilt is not a good football team. But after a three-game losing streak threatened to derail the momentum of Kentucky’s 6-0 start, the Wildcats are in no position to get picky about wins.
Kentucky did exactly what a 21-point favorite is supposed to Saturday in Nashville, riding a dominant start to a comfortable 34-17 victory over Vanderbilt.
UK’s win extended Vanderbilt’s SEC losing streak to 19 games. It did little to change the narrative that Kentucky has built its 7-3 record by beating up on as favorable an SEC schedule as the program will ever get.
