Kentucky returns to Rupp Arena to face a peculiar opponent. Two years removed from a Final Four run, Frank Martin’s South Carolina Gamecocks limped into the season. They entered SEC play 5-7 with losses to Wyoming, Stony Brook and Wofford. Once SEC play began, a switch was flipped.
The Gamecocks are fourth in the SEC with a 6-2 record. They’ve only lost to Tennessee and at LSU. Carolina’s fighting their way into the NCAA Tournament picture. They desperately need a win at Rupp to help erase their non-conference woes.
