Bryce Drew shook the SEC up in his first year as Vanderbilt’s head coach. The Commodores had four wins over ranked opponents, three over Florida, to earn an NCAA Tournament berth as a nine-seed. Drew turned that momentum into an excellent 2018 recruiting class, but has failed to replicate that kind of success on the court.
Off to Vanderbilt’s worse start in 40 years, the Commodores are 6-10. The only wins you could maybe call impressive were over Alabama and UNC-Asheville. Even worse, a team that normally dominates at home has won just four out of ten games at Memorial Gymnasium.
