@IzayahCummings
In a battle of the top two high school football teams in the state of Kentucky, a future Wildcat wide receiver made every big play in crunch time to lead his team to an overtime victory.
No. 1 Trinity and No. 2 Male each only scored one touchdown when the Bulldogs’ game-winning field goal attempt at the end of regulation missed. Seeking his third straight win over the Shamrocks, wide receiver Izayah Cummings rose to the occasion in extra time.
Cummings caught a ten-yard touchdown pass to start the first overtime period. After Trinity responded with seven points, the defending 6A state champs held their ground to force a Trinity field goal in the second overtime.
