Yesterday, the University of Kentucky proposed a budget of $148.5 million for their athletics department for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. In today’s business meeting, UK will consider it as part of their overall budget.
Kentucky’s athletic department will take into account their scheduled events for this fiscal year, basing their budget on a decreased ticket revenue. You can find more specific details here.
It will be interesting to see how other SEC and even schools across nation are impacted by the drastic loss of ticket revenue.

“Our goal in building our budget for the upcoming fiscal year was to respond to the unique climate brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic while avoiding adverse effects on the welfare of our student-athletes and reductions to our coaches and staff,” Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart said.
