Lexington’s Frederick Douglass High School has transformed into a local football powerhouse since its inception in 2017. The nearby Kentucky Wildcats have benefited from that talent more than anyone. Three- and four-star recruits have flooded to UK in the last half-decade, with no better example of their impact than last Saturday’s win over Miami (OH). A pair of former Broncos, WR Dane Key and OT Jager Burton, were both important starters in Kentucky’s 37-13 victory over the RedHawks.
Along with Key and Burton, Kentucky also has former Frederick Douglass star Dekel Crowdus on the roster.
