One of the most talented wide receivers in America is coming back to the Bluegrass.
Wide receiver Dekel Crowdus has returned to Frederick Douglass High School after spending the fall semester playing for IMG Academy in Florida. The homesick four-star athlete told Rivals’ Dave Lackford he decided to come home after a coaching change at the prep school.
Considered either the first or second-best junior football player in the Commonwealth entering the 2019 season, he departed for IMG just days before Frederick Douglass’ season-opener. The Broncos managed fine without Crowdus, starting 14-0 before falling to Covington Catholic in the state championship.
