LEXINGTON — On the eve of college football’s early signing period, Kentucky football coaches have been handed a reason to start celebrating early.
Four-star offensive guard R.J. Adams, a former Penn State pledge, committed to Kentucky Tuesday over North Carolina State and Tennessee. Rivals.com ranks Adams as the No. 12 offensive guard in the 2020 class.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pound Virginia native is expected to be the first of three four-star Kentucky targets to announce their choices Tuesday. The Wildcats are also considered leaders for four-star junior college offensive tackle Jeremy Flax and four-star Louisiana prep defensive back Joel Williams, who have announced plans to commit to a school later in the day.
