LEXINGTON — Jacob Toppin will wait at least another year to see if he can join his older brother in the NBA.
The younger brother of former New York Knicks first-round pick Obi Toppin, Jacob Toppin announced in a video posted to his Instagram on Tuesday he's returning to Kentucky after testing the NBA draft waters.
The return represents a significant boost to the Wildcats' 2022-23 roster after Toppin showed progress from Year 1 to Year 2 at Kentucky. He averaged 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game as a junior.
