Allen Edwards, a former Kentucky Wildcat, has just been let go as the head coach of the Wyoming men’s basketball team. Allen spent four years with the Cowboys, amassing a 60-76 overall record and a 24-48 conference record as the team’s head coach. This season, the team finished 9-24 overall and 2-16 during the regular season in the Mountain West Conference.
Edwards played for the Wildcats from 1994–1998 under Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith, when the Cats won three SEC championships and two NCAA National Championships.
After his four years in Lexington, Edwards went undrafted in the 1998 NBA Draft before spending a few years in the International Basketball League.
