The WWE is scouting for its next batch of talent from the college ranks. Before this weekend’s Wrestlemania at Jerry World, the WWE is hosting 53 athletes for a three-day tryout at the Dallas Cowboys’ facility in Frisco, Tx. One of the 19 college football players in attendance is former Wildcat Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald.
Abule recently wrapped up a five-year career on the Kentucky defensive line. He earned nine starts and appeared in 30 games. Last year he recorded 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble, stripping Hendon Hooker on a takedown against Tennessee.
The WWE told ESPN it wants to use this tryout to accelerate the developmental process.
