Monday afternoon Joko Willis announced his commitment to Auburn University. The second-ranked JUCO inside linebacker in America was previously committed to UK.
There are substantial ripple effects behind Willis’ decision. By taking the JUCO inside linebacker, it essentially waves the white flag in Trevin Wallace’s recruitment. The inside linebacker from Georgia is the second-ranked inside linebacker in the 2021 recruiting class and the No. 35 player overall, according to 247 Sports. Most believed the former Boston College commit would sign with Auburn until the Tigers fired head coach Gus Malzahn just days before the beginning of the Early Signing Period.
