Former University of Kentucky track athlete Alexis Holmes finished second in her heat this morning to advance to the 400m semifinals in Paris.
Holmes, who is making her Olympic debut, earned an automatic qualification spot of out the sixth and final heat of Round 1 of the Women’s 400m competition at Stade de France. Her time of 50.35 was good enough for the ninth fastest mark across all competitors.
