Former Louisville player Brian Bowen, who was a key piece in the firing of Rick Pitino and Tom Jurich, is transferring to South Carolina.
The Gamecocks will reportedly seek reinstatement for Bowen so he can join the team:
Bowen will likely have to sit out one year, per NCAA transfer rules, but his lawyer, Jason Setchen, said Wednesday he hoped Bowen would be cleared to play late this season.
“Brian is very excited to have a new opportunity to pursue basketball at South Carolina,” Setchen told Courier Journal. “We’re really appreciative that South Carolina has presented this opportunity to Brian.
