Former Kentucky pitcher Sean Hjelle tied the record for tallest player ever in Major League Baseball on Friday when he came out of the Giants’ bullpen.
Hjelle, at 6-foot-11, tied former Morehead State pitcher Jon Rauch for the record.
In his debut, Hjelle pitched one complete inning out of the pen. He gave up no hits and had one strikeout.
