Josh Minkins Jr., a three-star defensive end at Ballard High School in Lousiville, has chosen to stay home and continue on the legacy of his father. Minkins’ father, Josh Sr., played at Louisville from 2000-03.

A one-time Kentucky recruit, the 6-foot-3 Minkins recorded 15 tackles and three interceptions last season while also taking turns at wide receiver, where he caught 16 passes for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
A big reason for his commitment wasn’t just the Louisville connection, but the opportunity to play right away.
