Twelve years after leaving the University of Kentucky, Corey Peters is still grinding in the NFL trenches. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced they have signed Peters to the active roster after the franchise sent linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson to the injured reserve.
Peters spent the first five seasons of his NFL career in Atlanta after he was drafted by the Falcons in the third round. Peters signed a big deal with Arizona in 2015, but suffered a torn Achilles before ever suiting up for the Cardinals. Despite the setback, he became a team captain and spent six seasons in Arizona.
