A former Kentucky Wildcat will play for another SEC school this fall. Defensive back Jamari Brown is now enrolled at Mississippi State, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz. Since he is a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play this season.
Brown began his career at Kentucky in 2018 and transferred to Purdue following the 2020 season. After starting 13 games over two seasons with the Boilermakers, he entered the transfer portal last week, choosing to cut ties with the program ahead of its first season with former Illinois defensive coordinator Ryan Walters as head coach.
