The University of Kentucky isn’t the only local school producing professional basketball players.
According to a press release sent out by Eastern Kentucky University, former EKU standout Nick Mayo has agreed to a contract in Japan.
Mayo will play for the Chiba Jets, who are based just outside of Tokyo and finished as the runners-up in Japan’s B.League last season.
Excited for this new journey with the Chiba Jets!?? https://t.co/S7OH6mmcJx
If you aren’t familiar with Mayo, you should know that he’s one of the most impactful players to ever come through the EKU basketball program.
