Would-be incoming freshman tight end, Jakob Dixon, left the Kentucky football team in June before practices even began. He has now found a new home just down in Richmond, as Dixon announced on Saturday via Twitter he will be attending Eastern Kentucky University.

Originally from Louisville out of Pleasure Ridge High School, Dixon was a low-key three-star prospect who turned the heads of the Kentucky coaching staff during camp last summer. A week later he returned, repeated the performance, and earned a scholarship offer from the Wildcats. He is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in both basketball and track & field, but ultimately chose football to pursue collegiately.
