Davoan “Day Day” Hawkins will be taking his dance moves (and other talents) to Tennessee State University. The former Wildcat entered the transfer portal on May 1, and he announced his commitment to his new school on Twitter Sunday afternoon, saying he’s been “dealt a new hand” and is happy to join the TSU family.
The defensive end also took time to thank the Kentucky staff and Wildcat fans one more time:
Hawkins spent two full seasons in Lexington, including one redshirt year. He appeared in nine games last season. After recording a tackle for loss against Vanderbilt, his first career sack and forced fumble came on one play against Louisville.
