You either win or you learn. Kentucky football happened to do both in a 31-0 blowout victory over Youngstown State this weekend.
It wasn’t the prettiest performance from start to finish — Mark Stoops and the coaching staff made that abundantly clear after the game and throughout the week — but it was still a five-score win and the program’s first shutout since 2009. It was also a day to remember in other regards, as Stoops was honored before the game for becoming the program’s all-time winningest coach. The school also celebrated Military Appreciation Day, with a helicopter flyover and field-sized flag being presented during the national anthem.
