To those outside Kentucky, football and horse racing might seem like a strange kind of sports doubleheader. But the University of Kentucky and Lexington’s transportation authority are making it possible for Wildcats fans this weekend.
The school announced this week that it has partnered with Lextran and Keeneland to provide a special shuttle service to carry fans between Commonwealth Stadium and the nearby racetrack at Keeneland on Saturday when the Wildcats host Vanderbilt.
For a $1 fare each way, fans can go from the stadium to Keeneland or vice versa. Fans leaving for Keeneland should board the bus at the intersection of University and Cooper Drive.
