Former Kentucky star and first-round WNBA Draft pick Rhyne Howard has joined the Florida women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach.
Howard, who will work this job during her WNBA offseason, will also serve as director of player personnel.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida women’s basketball has finalized its 2023-24 coaching staff by adding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, Rhyne Howard. Howard plays for the Atlanta Dream and has ties to Florida dating back to 1987-91 when her mother, Rhvonja (R.J.) Avery, played for the Gators.
