We’re so close to the start of college basketball season you can practically taste it, and in the latest sign that we are just about at the finish line of the off-season, Kentucky is set to tip off their second exhibition game this evening against Kentucky State. Once that game is done, as Bill Belichick would say, “We’re on to Michigan State,” and the college hoops season will be here.
Prior to tip with Kentucky State however there was a game against Georgetown College, one that resulted in an 80-53 Wildcats’ win. It was a game that – like most preseason exhibitions – showed a lot of good, but also quite a bit that these Wildcats still have to work on.
