Kentucky is out of the picture for one of the best players on the West Coast.
The second-ranked point guard in America according to the 247 Composite Rankings has cut his list to four. Nico Mannion will choose between Duke, Marquette, Arizona and Villanova.
Mannion recently reclassified from the 2020 to the 2019 class. Upon making the move, Kentucky contacted Mannion to gauge interest, but never offered the Phoenix native.
Kentucky is in solid shape when it comes to point guards in the 2019 recruiting class. The Cats already have a commitment from Tyrese Maxey, they are in an excellent position with Cole Anthony and one of the point guards on this year’s roster will likely return for another year in the Bluegrass.
