LEXINGTON - You can cross another name off the list of possible additions to the Kentucky basketball's 2020-21 roster.
Five-star center Moussa Cisse committed to Memphis on Wednesday over Kentucky, LSU, Florida State, Georgia and Georgetown. While Cisse listed Kentucky as one of his six finalists when announcing his plans to reclassify from the 2021 class to 2020 last week, the Wildcats were viewed as a long shot for his commitment.
Cisse made the announcement in an interview with 247Sports.
A native of Guinea who played high school basketball last season in Memphis, Cisse would have been a significant addition to Kentucky's frontcourt thanks to his reputation as an elite shot-blocker and possible one-and-done NBA draft pick, but with Wake Forest transfer Olivier Sarr's status for next season still uncertain, it was not clear how many minutes would be available for Cisse if he had picked UK.
