Last season, Kentucky had one of the deepest running back corps that there has been at UK in a long time. Braylon Heard was slated to be the starter, but behind him Kentucky had JoJo Kemp, Stanley “Boom” Williams, Josh Clemons, and Mikel Horton.
Entering the offseason, Kentucky fans would have expected to have all 5 of those guys back for another season. However, Heard elected to head to the NFL Draft, and Josh Clemons transferred to Jacksonville State.
Now, Kentucky enters the season with only 3 running backs that have run in a game, and true freshman Sihiem King.
