Welcome to 2020, Kentucky fans. A year where up is down, left is right and where basketball games are canceled, postponed and rescheduled on a whim.
That’s right after spending the last four or five days thinking, talking and preparing for the UCLA Bruins (or in my case, writing a whole 1,500 word preview of Mick Cronin’s club) the college basketball Gods laughed in Kentucky’s face Wednesday, announcing a change of plans in Cleveland at this year’s CBS Sports Classic.
Out are the UCLA Bruins, in are the North Carolina Tar Heels, for a blue-blooded showdown between arguably the two biggest brands in the sport.
